This Warranty and Return Policy explains the terms under which warranty coverage, returns, and replacements are offered for products purchased from Clans Solar.
1. Warranty Coverage
a. Solar Panels:
All solar panels sold by Clans Solar come with a performance warranty of up to 25 years (as per manufacturer policy) and a product warranty of 10 years against manufacturing defects.
b. Inverters and Batteries:
Inverters and batteries carry a manufacturer warranty ranging from 2 to 5 years, depending on the brand and model purchased.
c. Installation Workmanship:
Our installation services are covered under a 1-year workmanship warranty, ensuring that all fittings, mounts, and wiring are safely and professionally installed.
d. Accessories and Balance of System Components:
Accessories such as mounting structures, cables, and junction boxes are covered under a 1-year limited warranty from the date of installation.
2. Warranty Exclusions
Warranty will not apply in the following cases:
Damage caused by mishandling, misuse, or improper maintenance.
Physical damage after delivery (e.g., cracks, water damage, or burns).
Unauthorized repair, modification, or relocation of the system.
Natural disasters (lightning, flood, fire, earthquake, etc.) or force majeure.
Damage due to voltage fluctuations, poor earthing, or external electrical faults.
3. Warranty Claim Process
If you believe your product is defective and falls under warranty:
Contact our support team within the warranty period at support@clanssolar.com or call 092373 77503 (India only).
Provide the following details:
Product serial number and purchase invoice
Date of installation and proof of purchase
Photos/videos showing the defect or issue
Our technical team will inspect and verify your claim.
If approved, we will arrange for repair, replacement, or service support based on the manufacturer’s warranty terms.
4. Return & Replacement Policy
a. Eligibility for Return:
Returns are accepted within 7 days from delivery only if the product is found damaged, defective, or incorrect.
The product must be unused, in original packaging, and include all manuals and accessories.
b. Non-Returnable Items:
Installed or site-customized solar systems
Products damaged due to user handling or installation errors
Clearance or discounted sale items
c. Return Procedure:
To initiate a return, contact us at support@clanssolar.com with your order details and reason for return.
If eligible, our team will coordinate pickup or guide you on the return process.
5. Refund Policy
Refunds are issued only after inspection and approval of returned goods.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
Installation, delivery, or handling charges are non-refundable.
In case of part replacement under warranty, only the defective component is replaced — not the full system.
6. Limitation of Liability
Our total liability under this policy shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.
Clans Solar shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses such as loss of energy production, revenue, or profit.
